The OI LogoThe idea of Open Implementation is to expose an abstraction of the implementation, not the actual details. The Open Implementation must provide clients with control over its implementation strategy, not with a mountain of details. The Open Implementation logo reflects this in several ways. First, the red circles suggest the internal modules (or objects) that make up the abstraction of the implementation. The lines between them show the protocol those modules follow. The lower black box shows that even in an open implementation, some parts remain closed. Finally, the gray circle shows a piece of meta-code coming from the client and being inserted into the implementation. |
