$100 for your thoughts…
The Palo Alto Research Center, Inc.
(PARC) seeks participants in a user study about everyday life of college-aged
individuals in Palo Alto.
We’ll pay you $100 in exchange for sharing information about your activities in
commercial areas over a week.
Study enrollment qualifications:
* age 19-25
* go to the Stanford Shopping Center
or commercial district around University
Avenue at least twice a week
Study details:
We give you a mobile device to
carry for a week. When you visit the Stanford Shopping Center or the commercial
district around University Avenue,
it buzzes every 15 minutes to ask you a short set of questions about where you
are and what you're doing. It takes less than a minute to answer the
questions. After the study is over, we interview you to find out more
about your activities, such as how often you do them, whether you always
perform them in the same sequence, etc.
We pay you $1 for every question
set completed, $1 for every new place you visit (all subject to a $25 / day
cap), and $50 for the interview. You
have to go to the Stanford
Shopping Center or University Avenue
at least once during the week to be eligible for the interview. You can
always skip any question, and are free to stop participating at any time.
