| Ruth Rosenholtz received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 1994. Her thesis was on shape from texture, including a computer vision algorithm and human vision experiments. She has also worked on perceptually-based image compression and pre-attentive texture segmentation. Since 1997 Ruth has been at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), working predominantly on visual attention and on the application of human vision research, particularly to user interface design. |
