Research Interests

I'm interested in search and its applications. My research focuses on improving the scalability and efficiency of fundamental graph search algorithms, such as breadth-first search, Dijkstra's algorithm, and A*. Since search is ubiquitous, my goal is to apply various search techniques to areas as diverse as planning and scheduling, social networks, model checking, and bioinformatics. I'm also interested in user interface design and human factors.
