Raluca Budiu finished her PhD at Carnegie Mellon University in 2001. She currently works on cognitive modeling of users that perform navigation tasks in degree-of-interest trees, using the ACT-R cognitive architecture. She is also involved in devising measures of automatically estimating information scent from large corpora. Raluca is originally from Romania.
