In January 1996, Chahil was appointed Apple's Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing. In this capacity, he is responsible for Worldwide Corporate Communications and Worldwide Marketing Services. Upon joining Apple in 1988, Chahil became a founding member of Apple's Pacific Division and headed the marketing organization for all the Pacific regions. Chahil was also the chief architect of the Hakone Forum and New Media Center initiatives. Chahil founded Apple's New Media division in 1993 and also took over the leadership of Apple's European marketing organization. This division pioneered the Pippin platform development. Chahil has over 20 years of experience in the computer industry, which includes 13 years with IBM and Xerox. He has a master's degree in international Management from the American Graduate School of International Management in the U.S.
