Language of the Heart

Using what artists know to conquer the problem of information overload

Eric Haseltine

Vice President, Walt Disney Imagineering

ABSTRACT:

This talk discusses and demonstrates how information overload can be attacked by communicating with people through the emotional channel. Instead of looking at information spaces as cognitive constructs, we see them as emotional constructs. Information processes and bottlenecks are modeled accordingly. The talk will use many examples, including from animation, advertising, and music.
